This illustration of a dandelion blowing his candles out and accidentally also blowing his friends pappus’ away. This birthday card is made with 140lb. cold press watercolor paper, cut to size and folded to 4.5" x 5.5", then the fun begins! I sketch my drawing and start to fill in with color, using watercolor pencils. When I'm satisfied with the placement of the colors I get out my wand and the magic starts. When the water touches the pencil markings it begins to dissolve and become a different medium (my favorite part). Lastly, when the water has dried I outline my drawing with ink. Every card is blank inside for personal touches and stamped with M.A.D. on the backside and comes with an envelope.
