This piece was created by Merritt and her Dragon (a mobile glassblowing studio) located in her backyard in Covington. 
Others would call this a paperweight but not M.A.D. these are Dragon Eggs! This egg was created by getting a gather of clear glass, picking up white frit (colored glass), then pink frit. Next clear glass is gathered to complete the piece to give it a smooth finished look. Before it goes into the annealer the bottom is heated and stamped.
