This piece was created by Merritt when she worked at Brazee Studios in Oakley located in Cincinnati.
When working with hot melted glass I try to keep an open mind because the glass sometimes wants to have a mind of it's own. Sometimes it works out and I like to call them happy accidents but sometimes it doens't and it goes into the sad trash bucket. I'm a huge UK fan so I had purchased a beautiful cobalt blue frit (uk blue) and decided to create a collection on UK pieces. This vase has a nice clean look with a white background and a blue wrap decending down the piece.
